Wadi Rum camp location is something our guests value a lot. Since it is far away from the village you don’t see any lights and can admire pure silence. Additionally the camp is between the rocks which give the shade afternoon and protect from the wind and sand. Moreover, one of the biggest red dunes is just right behind the corner walking distance away. Finally everyone is appreciating beautiful views around and the sky full of stars. Our Base Camp is a perfect starting point to explore the desert.

Wadi Rum Camp | Restaurant tent and meals
The restaurant tent is a place where our chef, Mohammad, serves meals but it is also a living room. After the dinner everyone gathers around the fireplace, drinks Bedouin tea, talks, plays music and dances if there is a will. Usually, Hillal and his family share stories about the desert and their traditional life. Except the winter time, we sit at the fire outside and watch the stars in the sky till late evening hours.
We serve breakfast in the form of buffet between 7 and 8 o’clock in the morning. Normally, it consist of bread, boiled eggs, hummus, olives, yoghurt, baba ganoush, hot dish, fresh tomatos & cucumbers, jam, honey and halvah. It may slightly differ depending on season and availability of the products. As for drinks guests can choose between tea, coffee and bottled water.
Lunch
We have two options for lunch in our offer.
Those who are going for a jeep tour usually take lunch in the desert. Your guide will find some cozy place and prepare tasty meal on fire. There is always hot dish, hummus, bread, salad from fresh vegetables and something extra like white cheese with olives, tuna salad and of course Bedouin tea.
If you are going for trekking around the camp we can always prepare a lunch box for you.
Dinner
Dinner is the main attraction for food lovers. It is typically one of three traditional dishes like Zarb, Mansaf or Magloubah. We serve it around 7:30 PM.
Zarb is Bedouin style grill made in the sand whole oven. It is a mixture of chicken, potatos, carrots, zucchini, onions. We serve it with rice, bread and few side dishes.
Mansaf in its original form is made of bread prepared in the fire, goat milk and lamb meat but you will see it also served with rice and other type of meat as goat or chicken.
Magloubah (upside down) is the dish prepared from rice, vegetables, meat and spices on frying pan and flipped over just before serving.
Water and electricity
Water comes from the spring in Wadi Rum Village and we bring it to the camp by car in tanks. It is very precious resource in Jordan and especially in the desert. Therefore, please take it into consideration when taking a shower.
Electricity comes from photovoltaic system. Thanks to battery system you will have light in your tent after the sunset and possibility to charge your phone or other device in the restaurant tent.
