Camping and Night Under The Stars
Camping in Wadi Rum is something we highly recommend to those who would like to observe sky full of stars and spent night in complete silence surrounded by nature only.
We offer two types of spending night in the desert experience.
1. Night under the stars close to our campsite – 15 JD per person
In this case after eating a dinner in the camp we take you with our jeep just behind the rocks so you don’t see any lights. Your guide makes a fire and Bedouin tea, you put mattresses with blankets around and watch the sky full of stars. In the morning you come back on foot to the camp for toilet and breakfast.
2. Camping in the cave in the wild desert – 35 JD per person
If you want to eat dinner prepared on fire, spent night far away from the camp and also take your breakfast in the wild part of the desert choose this option.
IMPORTANT | NEED TO KNOW
Drink enough water. It is essential. It is also good to have mineralizing adds (Mg, Ca, K, Na) with you. Whichever camp you stay at you will get water for your next day trip.
Protect your head from the sun and heat. The best way is how the locals do so wrap your head with shawl.
Use UV filter cream on your skin. It is highly recommended to do that not only during summer period. Use at least SPF 30 so you can stay 4h on the sun before your skin will start to turn red.
Wear covered shoes. Choose comfortable covered shoes, especially if you go for trekking. If not you will need them as well if you want to climb a rock during simple jeep tour.
